WELCOME HOME UTAH GREEKS

The Fraternity and Sorority community started at the University of Utah in the fall of 1909 when the first fraternity was chartered and established. The first sorority on campus was founded 4 years later in 1913.

Today, the University of Utah has 19 fraternities and sororities with over 1,600 students involved. In our community, we have 12 fraternities and 7 sororities. All of our organizations believe that the fraternal experience is an excellent opportunity to explore during their time in college.

The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life oversees the 19 social fraternities and sororities at the University of Utah and exists to provide educational programming in the areas of program development, risk management, and the promotion of leadership development. This is done through the engagement of student leaders, faculty, staff, advisors, and alumni.
